Is a picture book that has been receiving outstanding appraisal from readers all around Japan!

So, what is truly important to you?

Is it money?

Is it time?

Is it your family?

Is it friends?

Is it your significant other?

The way that you have been living till now, or should I say your “normal” everyday life is very ordinary.

Although it may be just a “normal” life,To have mutual support with one another is what makes living great.

Perhaps we are taking this “normal” life for granted, where we ignore something called “gratitude”?

In this chimney filled town, the skies are surrounded in black smoke. Poupelle, a kind-hearted man made out of trash encounters Lubicchi, a young boy who cleans chimneys. It is a heart-warming tale that may even bring you to tears, but after reading this story you will rethink what is really important to you!

Upon reading this book, perhaps you may once again feel affectionate to others!

Also, you can also feel thankful for those around you and express these feelings freely!

This picture book will help you discover many new perspectives of life, I highly recommend it!

Nishino Hiroaki, the author of this book is actually a Japanese comedian.

His comedian group, King Kong, has earned quite a reputation on Japanese television.

Learning art through self-study, on January 26, 2009, he released Dr. Ink’s Starry Cinema which had launched his career as a picture book author.

“To change how the world views picture books!” is his intention and he has seen great success in Japan with his unique ideas and concepts.

I cannot recommend this book enough!

“Believe. Even if you’re the only one.” There was a town isolated from the outside world, surrounded by a 4,000 meter tall cliff. The town was full of chimneys. Smoke rose from everywhere, clouding the sky above. Smoke, smoke, from morning till night. The people living in the chimney town were encaged in black smoke, and did not know about the blue sky. They did not know about the shining stars. The town was in the midst of the Halloween festival. Joined by the smoke for warding off evil spirits, the town was even smokier than usual. Poupelle Of Chimney Town. By Hiroaki Nishino.
